“Experiment in Abstract” was my first endeavor in abstract design. This exciting quilt was published in Liberating Quiltmaking II, by Gwen Marston; AQS, 2010. Machine quilted. In making this piece, I thought I had finished but decided it needed something else. Holding a piece of red fabric in the right hand corner cemented placing a circle to balance the composition. Now I was in love with the end result. 31.25”X43.5” Narrow binding, mitered corners and hanging sleeve competes the piece.
