This quilt was started at a Gwen Marston Quilt Retreat where the theme was Four Block Appliqué. My original design, published in Classic Four-Block Appliqué Quilts, Gwen Marston, C&T Publishing, 2005. Upon finishing one block I accidentally cut into the background. How to repair? Solution: appliqué a bird over the cut. Today I cannot remember which of the birds is covering the cut. One flower is missing one of the red dots, a message that no one or thing is perfect. Machine quilted by Prairie Star Quilts, Iowa. Single narrow binding with miter corners. 76” X 76”.
